Since Office 2007, the Insert Object button is hidden and you need to first setup your Word or PowerPoint preferences to access it. For this go through those following steps:
Display the Developer tab by checking Show Developer tab in the Ribbon in the Popular sections of the software preferences.
Once the Developer tab is accessible, clic on the Legacy Tools button (bottom right button of the second group of buttons from the left side of the toolbar), then on More controls button (bottom right button in the tool palette that shows up).
A dialog displays: Choose Cabri II Plus (or Cabri 3D) from the list of available objects to insert.
In the contextual menu of the freshly inserted object (right click on the inserted object), choose Cabri II Plus Object > Import (or Cabri 3D Object > Import). Browse your computer for the file you wish to insert and open it. You figure is now displayed in your document.
In order to manipulate your figure, you need to access the contextual menu on the figure (right click directly on the figure) and choose Cabri II Plus Object > Manipulate (or Cabri 3D Object > Manipulate). You can now freely manipulate your Cabri figure right from your Office document.
