Cabri II Plus package build procedure on RM Community Connect 3

The goal of this document is to assist people who need to build a package of Cabri II Plus on an RM Community Connect 3 network.
The document shows every step of the package creation. It is extensively illustrated with screenshots of the process. If you are already familiar with RM Community Connect 3 package building, there is no special procedure for Cabri II Plus on RMCC3 so long as you use Cabri II Plus version 1.3.1 or above.

Requirements:

Cabri II Plus version 1.3.1 or above is required. If you have an earlier version, please contact your distributor.
A clean station linked to a RM Community Connect 3 network.

Launch RM Application Wizard

Choose the second option to begin creation of a new package and left click Next.

Choose the first option as our goal is to build a brand new Windows Installer package and left click Next.

Just left click Next.

In this window you are asked to enter a name for your new package. This name will appear in the RM Management Console. You can add a description if you like. When you are done, left click Next.

RM Application Wizard is now performing the first scan of your system.

First scan is now done. Just left click OK.

When this window shows, select Cabri II Plus Setup.exe file directly on the CD-ROM and left click Open.

From this moment, you will see a small window from the RM Application Wizard. It stays in the background during all the software installation process. DO NOT CLICK on the Start the Second Scan button until the installation is complete. At this point the Cabri II Plus installation process begins. Left click on Install Software to proceed.

Just click Next.

Select Stand Alone installation and left click Next.

At this time you can personalise the Destination Folder for your Cabri II Plus installation. We advise you to keep the default setting. Left click Next.

Keep the default setting and left click Next.

Just left click Install.

Wait until Cabri II Plus setup finishes installation.

Cabri II Plus installation is now done. Left click on Finish. DO NOT CLICK on the Start the Second Scan button at this moment. We still need to check if Cabri II Plus launches correctly.

Notice the new Cabri II Plus icon on your desktop. Double click the icon to launch the software.

Cabri II Plus should launch and you should read RM CC3 on the splash screen. You can now close Cabri II Plus.

Once Cabri II Plus is closed, you can finally left click on the Start the Second Scan button.

Select the first option to finalise your package creation and then left click Next.

The RM Application Wizard is now performing the second scan of your system. This scan will detect all changes made on your system since the first scan and will allow the creation of your new Cabri II Plus package.

This is the message you obtain after the second scan is completed. Left click OK.

This window warns that the package is ready to be allocated using the RM Management Console. Left click Next.

The package creation is now completed. Left click Finish.

You can now proceed with the package deployment procedure.
